I loved this shoot. On a lovely, sunny Sunday afternoon I got the pleasure of photographing a new family in love. My last shoot in California before a summer in Ohio was with Tra-Mi, Bill and their little boy Oliver. He was happy, healthy and loved the camera. He kept reaching for it through the afternoon session… I think we may have an artist on our hands! I am so excited to finally have the chance to share one of my favorite shoots with everyone! I photographed singer/songwriter Kim DiVine here in Los Angeles a bit ago for her “Easy on Me” release and it was an amazing session with the lovely songstress. During my temporary move back to Ohio, I had the pleasure to attend and photograph my friend’s (and next door neighbor since the 1980′s) surprise baby shower at The Toledo Country Club. It was a cold, snowy day in but Caryn was glowing and filled with warmth as was the soon-to-be first time father. The delivery date is growing near and I couldn’t be more excited for my friend to welcome a new little man into the world. Congratulation Caryn and Ryan!

This tiny toddler may not understand the Marilyn Monroe comparison, but every woman at the bridal shower was thinking the same thing when this fashionable, young girl stepped onto the heating grate today just as the festivities were winding down.

TOLEDO, OHIO        CHRISTMAS 2010

Another year passes, another Christmas spent with my family in my hometown of Toledo, Ohio. There are new and old traditions, but the location remains the same. It was a year none of us will soon forget and a year we gave thanks for another holiday together. I couldn’t help but realize that it’s not until we are faced with our last days that we seem to appreciate today. To all, Merry Christmas and a very happy and healthy new year.

Stopped by my cousin’s house just in time to catch him prepping for his freshman year homecoming at Central Catholic High School in Toledo, OH. Here’s a look into the Saturday night of fifteen year-olds adorned in boutonnieres and button downs.

I spent the past weekend with some wild characters on a massive photo shoot in Dallas. So far, these are the only approved shots. The talent can be picky!

Ms. Susan Kesser turned one year older, wiser and more wonderful (no need to get bogged down in the numbers!) this June and I hope I captured just a little bit of the fun we had toasting her big day! It was a night under the stars fit for a celebrity. Or an exec producer. Or a gaggle of publicists. Seriously- had there been an issue, we had at least 15 studio and network execs ready to spin for the trades. No detail left unattended, the birthday girl had the velvet ropes pulled back, champagne on ice all evening for her guests, and a cake with serious Louboutin flare. It was an amazing time capped off by some serious straight-face for the camera. To Susan, I wish you many more years of 4 inch designer heels, drop dead fashion and the love that surrounded you that night! xoxo

This May I was asked to do a shoot for a mom on Mother’s Day. The shoot weekend was also her birthday. The daughters all got together and surprised their mom with their photo-shoot gift the night before we met up in Manhattan Beach. All she had wanted for so long was to have photos taken with her three gorgeous, funny, and fiercely individual daughters. Who could refuse that request? They wanted the beach, and so the beach they got. We shot the evening before Mother’s Day 2010 at El Porto, a location with a very special meaning to these four amazing and strong women. Not sure if it was luck or something bigger, but after an afternoon plagued with clouds and fog, we were given a perfect orange sky to end the day.

One long travel day and day one in the city down…three to go. One word: amazing.
